Monday 29th September to Friday 31st October

Hever Castle & Gardens will be transformed into a dazzling landscape as its annual outdoor celebration, Autumn Colour, takes place.

Between Monday 29 September and Friday 31 October, visitors can enjoy taking in the beauty of nature, from the fiery red of the Boston Ivy on the castle walls to the golden canopy of trees along Lake Walk..

As part of its Autumn Colour celebration, the Hever estate will also be hosting a series of hands-on workshops on a range of topics, including fungi, herbs, dried flower bouquets, creating fabric dyes and spring bulb planting. All workshops are included in garden entry.

“Autumn Colour at Hever Castle is truly the season that keeps on giving,” says Head Gardener Neil Miller. “The Boston Ivy blazes red, the estate’s trees begin to turn, and the sight of ruby red rose hips from our 5,000 rose bushes is something to behold.

“This is the perfect chance to pull on your walking boots, enjoy the crunch of leaves underfoot and to see our grounds at their spectacular best.”

Among the attractions is the opportunity to explore a self-guided Autumn Trail, winding through the grounds of Anne Boleyn’s childhood home. Designed by Hever’s expert gardening team, the trail highlights unique and unusual trees as they change from green to brilliant shades of gold, orange and red.
